Klaus has used the concept as one of the generating principles in formulating a theology of church ministry.

Conversion, from a moral point of view, means that the shift to a new center of life provokes a transformation of a person’s moral identity and the system of values by which human life is lived. A vision of a new moral world—with its own set of character traits, obligations, and values—is resident in the story of Jesus and his kingdom praxis of love and justice. ”[21] Third, the kerygmatic activity of the church aims to encourage individuals to become missionary agents of God’s new order of life.

Through the charismata, the Holy Spirit dynamically recreates the kingdom ministry of Jesus in the church—his words of wisdom, his words of knowledge, his discernment of spirits, his healings, his working of miracles, his prayers to the Father, his prophetic speech, his succoring of the weak, his helps to the needy, his demonstrations of mercy, and more (Rom. 12:3–8; 1 Cor. 12:4–31). Through the eucharistic celebration, the Holy Spirit bears witness to the unseen Host of the table and invites symbolic participation in his kingdom ministry—his table fellowship that portrayed God’s mercy for sinners and his healing of the sick, the weak, and the infirm.
